As a result of a malpractice crisis that has been so problematic in many states, members of the medical community have joined together to establish Centurion Medical Liability Protective, Risk Retention Group (CMLP).

During these difficult times in the medical profession, despite the changes in statutes resulting from recent tort reform, many physicians either can not purchase malpractice insurance for any price, or are subjected to unaffordable medical malpractice premiums, which make the profession less attractive and satisfying. This has forced many to move to other counties and states where the litigious climate is less aggressive.
